S2315 SubA, the Food Residuals Recycling Initiative, an ECRI Legislative Priority for 2014, and S2438, The Farm Conservation and Renewable Energy Act of 2014 will be considered by the Senate Environment & Agriculture Committee on May 28th at the Rise of the Senate.
S2315 SubA would require certain large food scrap generators to divert food residuals to nearby composting facilities.
S2438 would establish siting guidelines to make it easier for farmers to install wind turbines on their land. This bill is part of ECRI's Legislative Agenda for 2014.
