Two bills which are part of our current Legislative Agenda will be heard at the Rise of the House.
ECRI supports H5478, which would create an 11 member commission to study economic risks relating to and resulting from sea rise and flooding. Also, ECRI supports H5673 which would require the division of planning to submit a report in consultation with a task force to the governor, the house speaker and the senate president by December 31, 2016, to eliminate regulatory conflicts among the department of environmental management, the resource recovery corporation and municipalities and establish a uniform process in the areas of protection of natural resources, recycling and product stewardship programs.
Other important environmental bills are also scheduled to be heard by the committee as well.
Chairman Handy requests that any witnesses providing written testimony provide 23 copies for committee use. Please mark the written testimony with the bill number.
